HIPAA Guide

The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPPA) was created in 996 by the federal government to promote the portability of health insurance, to ensure confidentiality of patient / resident health information, and to protect against fraud and abuse. St. Ann’s requires all its staff comply with all the HIPPA requirements, and each staff member is educated on HIPPA and its use within St. Ann’s during new staff orientation. You can learn more about the Act here.
